YCA and HHSY will present an Oral History Workshop in Whitehorse at Yukon Archives on February 7-9, 2018 with facilitators Helene Dobrowolsky and Tim Kinvig. Helene has managed many oral history projects and taught numerous courses. Tim is a former CBC technician skilled in the ever-changing world of sound recording. They recently completed Sharing our Stories - Oral History Recording Guidelines for HHSY. Participants will be introduced to all aspects of oral history projects including: advance planning, research, interview preparations and tips, products, sound file storage, outlines, transcriptions, and ethical issues.
