YCA Advisory Services
The Archival Advisory Program provides members of the Yukon Council of Archives with archival consultation and advisory services. Through this program, our Community Archivist provides advice, best practices, tools, and practical tips and hands-on assistance for developing archives programs and managing all sizes and types of collections.
This program is intended to facilitate the development of archives - from small, local archival collections to larger institutional archives and records management. YCA advisory services work to enhance many facets of professional education and training and serve as a central focus for addressing the evolving concerns and priorities of the territory’s archival and records management community.
The Advisory program is available to YCA Institutional members with thanks to the generosity of the Yukon Archives and support from Yukon Government.

Site Visits
Every year the Yukon Council of Archives provides in-person site visit opportunities to our institutional members. Our Community Archivist will visit your institution and work with staff to tackle archives or records management issues. These visits can range from a single day to 1-2 weeks, depending on needs, priorities, and availability.

Cost
Our funding allows us to cover salary costs for the Community Archivist, but not travel and accommodations. Member organizations will be asked to cover those costs for site visits outside of Whitehorse. Member organizations within Whitehorse will be asked to pay a fee of $100 per week to cover additional administrative costs.

At this time, we are not taking new site visit bookings. All YCA members will be notified via e-mail when we begin site visits again.
